Judicial officer arrested in Bukhara

In the Gijduvon district of the Bukhara region, the illegal actions of a judicial system employee were uncovered. The State Security Service reported the incident.

The head of the archive at the Gijduvon district court, charged under Articles 237 (false reporting) and 238 (false testimony) of the Criminal Code, used his connections within the judicial system to offer favors to a defendant, promising that the verdict would remain unchanged in exchange for $700, of which he initially received $100.

During an immediate operation, the archive head was caught with the remaining $600 in possession, along with material evidence. A criminal case has now been opened against him under Articles 25 and 168, part 3, clause ’’v’’ (fraud) and Article 28, 211, part 1 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and he has been placed in pretrial detention. Investigative actions are ongoing.

It is worth noting that earlier, lawyers in Tashkent city and Surkhandarya region were detained for receiving $3,700 and 60 million soums from clients.
