In the Shafirkon district of Bukhara region, it was revealed that a woman had been repeatedly assaulting her child, born in 2018, for nearly two years. The Children's Ombudsman reported this incident.
S.N., a resident of Shafirkon district, Bukhara region, received a complaint from citizen L.Z. and reported to the Children's Ombudsman Secretariat. The complaint stated that she had been physically abusing and tormenting her underage child for two years, with accompanying video evidence.
As per the investigation conducted by the internal affairs bodies of Shafirkon district, S.N. persistently subjected his child, S.F., born in 2018, to physical abuse with a stick and other objects while tied to a cradle from March 2022 to November 2023.
In response to this situation, a criminal case has been initiated against S.N. under Article 110, Part 2, Clauses "a, v" of the Criminal Code, addressing the torture of a minor clearly in a weak condition. Ongoing efforts are being made to address this issue.
The report affirms, "The children's ombudsman will continue overseeing the child's interests in this case.”
