The discovery was made during an operation carried out under the framework of "Qoradori-2025" by the Anti-Smuggling Department of the Customs Committee, in cooperation with the district police and the National Guard.

Based on earlier intelligence, authorities inspected the home of a resident in the Bulikayon neighborhood of Gijduvan district, in the presence of witnesses. During the search, officers found four cannabis plants and 36 poppy plants growing in the yard. Additionally, 850 grams of dried poppy plants were found stored in the utility room.
