It was reported that on June 29 of this year, in the "Fathabad" wedding hall in Bukhara, a young man from the Shafirkon district, born in 2008, A.A., and a girl named R.N., born in 2007, from the Karakol district, got married. In connection with the situation, the investigative team of the Karakol district IIB conducted an investigation.
It is reported that today, July 2, the parents of the minors, N.S. and N.Q., have had documents sent to the court for administrative responsibility under Article 47-3 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (violation of the legislation on the age of marriage or the procedure for concluding a marriage).
For information, Article 15 of the Family Code sets the age of marriage at 18 for both men and women. When there are good reasons, in special cases (such as pregnancy, the birth of a child, or the declaration of full legal capacity of a minor through emancipation), the district or city mayor may reduce the marriageable age by up to 1 year at the request of those wishing to marry. According to Article 47-3, part 2 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, parents or their substitutes who give or marry a person under the age of marriage can be fined 7 to 15 times the basic calculation amount (from 2,380,000 to 5,100,000 soums).
