Excavator in Bo’ka cuts gas supply to 12,500 homes (video)

An excavator damaged a high-pressure gas pipeline, temporarily cutting off the natural gas supply in Bo’ka district of Tashkent region yesterday on August 18, the Ministry of Energy reported. 

It is stated that at 21:40, an excavator damaged an underground high-pressure gas pipeline running through Bo‘ka district. As a result, the natural gas supply to all consumers in the district was temporarily suspended. According to the data, there are 12,512 residential households and 267 wholesale consumers in the area. 

According to reports, repair work is currently being carried out by the gas supply personnel. Once the repairs are completed, the natural gas supply will be restored. 

“Dear consumers, during the gas outage, please strictly follow safety rules and pay careful attention to your gas appliances”, the statement said. 

It is worth noting that earlier, in Yashnobod district of Tashkent city, a high-pressure gas pipeline was struck by a truck, resulting in a gas leak. As a result, the natural gas supply was temporarily suspended for 300 households in the “Bog‘bon” neighborhood, 400 households in the “Arg‘in” neighborhood, and 15 wholesale consumers
