Today, January 30, the Uzbekistan national futsal team will play its second match at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup. The team, coached by Nodir Eliboyev, will face Australia in this round. The match is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m. Tashkent time.
On January 28, Uzbekistan played to a 0–0 draw against Tajikistan in the first round of Group C. With one point, the team currently sits in second place in the group, behind Japan. Uzbekistan’s final group-stage match will be played on February 1 against the Japanese national team.
For reference, the Uzbekistan national futsal team is one of four teams that have participated continuously in the Asian Cup. In the tournament’s history, Uzbekistan has reached the final four times, winning silver medals on each occasion. The team has also claimed bronze medals six times.
