Parliament considers prime ministerial candidate today

Today, November 20, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis will convene to consider the candidate for the position of Prime Minister and discuss the Cabinet of Ministers' action plan for both the near and long term. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to participate in the session and deliver a speech. This information was shared by Sherzod Asadov, the President's press secretary.
On November 19, the current government formally resigned its powers following the election of the new Oliy Majlis, in line with the established procedure. To ensure the continuity of governance, the current Cabinet of Ministers will remain operational until a new Cabinet is formed, as per a decree issued by President Mirziyoyev.
