Today the President of Italy visits Uzbekistan

Today, the President of Italy is visiting Uzbekistan. At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from November 9 to 11. This information was reported by the President's press service.

The visit will feature high-level negotiations, with the agenda covering topics related to the further development of strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Italy, as well as the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas, as stated in the report.

Additionally, there will be a particular focus on implementing the agreements made during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Italy in June of this year. The discussions will also encompass current issues in international politics and regional cooperation.

Furthermore, several intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed at the conclusion of the summit.

During his visit, President Sergio Mattarella will also tour the cities of Samarkand and Khiva, where he will have the opportunity to explore Uzbekistan's rich cultural and historical heritage.
It is worth noting that earlier, it was announced that Italian President Sergio Mattarella had plans to visit South Korea and Uzbekistan.
