Earlier, it was reported that 37 children were mass poisoned by food in four preschool institutions located in the Forish district of the Jizzakh region. The Ministry of Health has issued a statement regarding the incident.

According to the statement, on October 9, several children from different preschool institutions in the Forish district of Jizzakh region experienced mild discomfort, fever, nausea, and short-term digestive disorders. They were promptly provided with the necessary medical assistance. At present, all children are in stable condition, and their health is not in danger. Currently, only two children remain under medical observation as a preventive measure.

Preliminary findings suggest that the cause of the incident may be related to food factors. The exact cause will be determined based on laboratory test results.

Specialists from the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Service have collected samples of food and water, and research is underway.

’’The Ministry of Health calls on citizens to remain calm and refrain from spreading unverified information, noting that the situation is under full control by the relevant authorities,’’ the statement read.

It is worth noting that during the epidemiological investigation conducted by doctors, it was found that on October 8, children had consumed products such as bio-kefir, cottage cheese, and butter at the preschool institutions. Based on their medical history and initial examinations, they were diagnosed with acute diarrhea and received inpatient medical care.
