UN Secretary-General visits Uzbekistan

On June 30, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit, invited by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as announced by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Bekzod Hidoyatov.
Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other dignitaries greeted him at Tashkent International Airport. Following a brief discussion, the UN Secretary-General, along with Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, headed to his allocated residence.
It had been previously announced that Antonio Guterres would be visiting Central Asia.
