The winter vacation in all educational institutions in Khorezm, Surkhandarya, Andijan, and Bukhara regions has been extended until 23 January.  This was reported by regional governments.

The winter vacation in kindergartens, schools, and presidential, creative, and specialized schools, as well as higher and secondary special educational institutions in the Khorezm region, has been extended until 23 January.

In addition, the winter holidays in kindergartens, schools, presidential, creative, and specialized schools, as well as higher and secondary special educational institutions in the Surkhandarya region have been extended until 23 January.

The winter vacation in kindergartens, schools, presidential, creative, and specialized schools, as well as higher and secondary special educational institutions in the Andijan region, has been extended until 23 January.

In addition, the winter holidays in kindergartens, schools, presidential, creative, and specialized schools, as well as higher and secondary special educational institutions in the Bukhara region have been extended until 22 January.

The reason for the extension of the winter vacation is the persistence of cold weather.

We remind you that until now the winter vacation in educational institutions in these regions was extended until 18 January.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation has announced the gradual start of classes in higher and professional educational institutions and academic lyceums from 11 January.

On 5 January of this year, the Ministry of School and Pre-School Education announced that the winter vacation in all schools in Uzbekistan was extended until 17 January, and the third quarter of the 2022-2023 academic year will begin on 18 January 2023.  However, on 10 January this year, he said that the authority to extend the winter vacation period was given to local governments, taking into account the weather conditions in the region.
