Today, on July 24, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the President's press service.
The national leader of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him robust health and prosperity, and wishing peace and development to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
"Current issues of the multifaceted friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed. The successful outcomes of the recent meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council were noted with satisfaction," the report said.
Additionally, the importance of increasing trade turnover, promoting new cooperation projects, and developing cultural exchanges was highlighted.
