Watermelon vendor was arrested for molesting a female customer

A man was arrested in Tashkent for grabbing and groping a female customer, according to the Supreme Court portal.
The incident occurred on June 25 this year on Zargarlik Street, in the Algoritm district of Chilonzor, the capital. The 33-year-old watermelon seller, identified as U.I., was intoxicated when he inappropriately touched a woman he did not know, grabbing her waist and making sexual advances.
During the trial, the offender admitted his guilt, expressed remorse, and requested leniency from the court.
The court sentenced U.I. to 5 days of administrative detention under part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and fined him 3.4 million soums, equivalent to 10 times the base minimum wage, under part 1 of Article 194.
