Bakhtiyor Saidov engages with the EU’s high representative on key cooperation issues

1579Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaia Kallas. Saidov shared this update on his social media page.
"During our conversation, we discussed various aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. We acknowledged the rapid growth in our regions’ collaboration, highlighting the significant progress made and the vast opportunities that lie ahead," Saidov wrote.
The minister also expressed anticipation for the upcoming Central Asia-European Union summit, which is set to take place in Samarkand later this year.
For reference, Kaia Kallas has served as the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy since October 2024. An Estonian lawyer, politician, and statesman, Kallas was previously the Prime Minister of Estonia from January 26, 2021, to January 15, 2024. He also chaired the Reform Party and was a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.
