Aziz Voitov is expected to become the Minister of Agriculture

On 29 August, a regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) was held.

The people’s representatives (MPs) considered and approved Aziz Voitov’s candidacy for the post of Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
For reference, Aziz Voitov is currently serving as First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.

He was born in 1980 in Tashkent.  He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Finance and the Higher Business School under the Academy of State and Social Construction under the president’s administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During his career, he worked in various positions at the National Bank of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2000-2017), and in 2017-2020 he worked as acting Chairman of the board of JSCB (Joint-stock commercial bank) “Uzsanoatqurilishbank”.

It should be noted that former Minister of Agriculture Jamshid Khodjayev was appointed Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.
