Some employees and pensioners of internal affairs bodies will be provided with service houses

Certain categories of employees and pensioners of internal affairs bodies will be provided with service housing, according to a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted on August 28.

The resolution, titled “On additional measures to provide housing for employees and pensioners of internal affairs bodies and their family members,” outlines the categories eligible for service houses.

These include:

•  Pensioners who served in internal affairs bodies and completed the required service period by July 4, 2022, or who were discharged to the reserve or retired due to an illness (disability) acquired during service, provided that they and their spouses do not own personal housing. Family members of deceased pensioners who lack personal housing (spouses, children, or dependents) are also eligible.
•  Family members (spouses, children, or dependents) of deceased employees of internal affairs bodies, on the condition that they do not own a personal residence.
