Auction canceled: New service for buying premium license plates launched

A new service for purchasing premium license plates has been launched in the mobile application of the Road Safety Service. This was announced on the official channel of the application.

It was noted that state license plates of the 1st and 3rd categories, which were previously put up for auction but remained unsold, are now being offered for sale in the application based on a single increased payment.

The cost of a license plate is set at 17 times the MRP (7 million soums) for individuals and 25 times the MRP (10.3 million soums) for legal entities.

To purchase a plate, users must select the region, the desired license plate number, the plate format (horizontal or square), and the type of engine of the car. After clicking the “search” button, the available results will be displayed.

It was added that all payments will now be made online, and license plates can be obtained without unnecessary paperwork or queues.

It should be recalled that with the introduction of this system on October 1 of this year, the sale of state license plates through the Republican Commodity Exchange has been canceled.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that, from January 1, 2026, vehicle owners in Uzbekistan will be allowed to assign a name to their car’s license plate. This is stipulated in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to simplify the procedure for issuing state registration license plates for motor vehicles,” adopted on September 4 of this year.
