One person dead in Asaka house fire caused by car service blaze (video)

On July 28, a fire broke out at a residential property in the Asaka district of the Andijan region, resulting in the death of one individual. According to the Andijan Regional Emergency Situations Department, the property had been operating as a car service center.
At approximately 6:21 pm, the Andijan Regional Emergency Services received a report through the 112 system about a fire at the home of citizen S.A., located on Yangiabad Street in the Ne'matobod mahalla of Asaka district. Fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene at 6:26 pm and fully extinguished the blaze by 6:54 pm.
The fire damaged approximately 70 square meters of the building’s roof. Authorities are currently assessing the causes of the fire and calculating the material losses.
According to the Andijan Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a special investigation team was dispatched to the scene to examine the circumstances of the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was caused by negligence on the part of S.A., who had been operating a car repair service at the same location. Tragically, S.A. died at the scene as a result of the fire.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 2, Clause “a” of Article 259 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the violation of fire safety regulations. The Asaka District Internal Affairs Department has launched a formal investigation, which is being overseen by the regional prosecutor's office.
This incident follows an earlier fire in the Kibray district of the Tashkent region, where a building materials store burned down. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported in that case.
