Artur Taymazov will go to war

Artur Taymazov, the 2004 Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, and deputy of the Russian State Duma decided to participate in special military operations in Ukraine.  This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Wargonzo project.

According to reports, Taymazov's choice surprised many.  The athlete spent most of his career on the freestyle wrestling team of Uzbekistan.  In addition to the 2004 Olympics, the wrestler also won gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics but was later stripped of two medals after testing positive for banned substances.

For information, Artur Taymazov's brother, Timur Taymazov, became the champion of the 1996 Olympic Games weightlifting as part of the Ukrainian national team.
Earlier, it became known that many other Russian athletes were also involved in military operations.
