Aripov conveys Mirziyoyev’s greetings to the Iranian President

4064On May 12, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, currently on an official visit to Tehran, was received by the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkiyon. The meeting was reported by the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Bekzod Hidoyatov.
At the start of the meeting, Aripov expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality shown to the Uzbek delegation and conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to his Iranian counterpart.
The sides emphasized that thanks to the strong political will of the two countries' leaders, Uzbek-Iranian relations have reached the level of comprehensive cooperation. They also underscored the importance of the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level to ensure stability and development in the region.
Special attention was paid to ensuring progress on joint initiatives in priority areas such as trade, economic and investment cooperation, industrial development, transport and logistics, interregional partnerships, and cultural-humanitarian exchange.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation also toured the Iranian House of Innovations and Technologies, where they were introduced to advanced developments in energy, medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, IT, and construction.
This meeting concluded the official visit of the Uzbek government delegation to Iran.
As previously reported, during the Uzbek-Iranian business forum held in Tehran, Iranian entrepreneurs were invited to take advantage of investment opportunities in the industrial zones of Khorezm and Samarkand. The forum was opened by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Oref.
