Alcohol products deemed unfit for consumption, valued at 1.6 billion sums, were discovered without the necessary documentation in an oil production workshop in the Andijan region. This discovery was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.

It was found that "F.S.," "A.I.," "A.V.," and "A.L.," heads of various LLCs, had stored 74,577 units of alcohol products, worth 1.6 billion soums, in the "Kugay" neighborhood area of the Izboskan District with the intent to transfer them. These products have been seized as physical evidence.

An expert examination revealed that 1,052 alcohol products bore counterfeit excise stamps, and 72,268 products were unfit for consumption. Additionally, QR code markings on 31,060 alcohol products purchased from LLCs operating in the Tashkent and Syrdarya regions under the names "A-sh.," "B.G.," and "Z.V." were found to be invalid.

As a result of these findings, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is currently underway.

It is noteworthy that the Alcohol and Tobacco Market Regulation Inspectorate had been established earlier to address such issues.
