A surveillance camera has been placed in the Ultrasound examination room of the medical association in Andijan

Following the circulation of a video on social media depicting the installation of a camera in the UE (Ultrasound examination) room owned by the Shahrikhon medical association in the Andijan region, the district association issued an official response.

It's stated that the association's plan for 2024 includes the installation of cameras in all rooms to closely monitor employee activities, regulate interactions between patients and medical staff, and facilitate investigations into any unpleasant or criminal incidents.

"The installation of cameras is currently in progress at the institution. The camera seen in the UE room on social media was non-functional; it was installed because the technical staff misunderstood the room's purpose. This issue has been rectified, and the designated camera locations in the institution have been reassessed," the statement read.

Recall that previously in Qoqon, individuals who installed a camera in a female student dormitory were fined, and the vice-rector was dismissed.
