Reports of a fatality due to flooding in the Andijan region have circulated on social media. To verify these reports, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Captain Hayotbek Rahimov, the Head of the Information Service for Regional Emergency Management.
Authorities have reported the discovery of a young girl's body in Shakhrikhonsoy. Regional internal affairs are currently investigating the incident.
On July 14, severe flooding hit the Osh region and Osh city in Kyrgyzstan, submerging markets and roads in Toloykon village and the "Boriboy-ota" recreation center. Forty-six rescuers were deployed to the area, and 420 people were evacuated.
Previously, it was reported that a bridge in the village of Yorqishloq, located between the Khojaobod and Jalaquduq districts of the Andijan region, collapsed due to severe flooding.
