2 people die after drinking alcohol at a school in Andijan

Reports have surfaced on social media claiming that in Andijan region, a school principal and a maintenance worker consumed technical alcohol stored in the school laboratory. To verify the information, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to him, four individuals were poisoned as a result of the incident, two of whom—a deputy director in charge of maintenance and a security guard—have died. A pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway.
It is worth noting that earlier, in Turkey, 23 citizens of Uzbekistan died after consuming counterfeit alcoholic beverages. Among them were two women.
