An apartment building in Andijan caught fire

Yesterday, 20 November, at 21:09 p.m., a fire broke out in one of the apartment buildings located in the 3rd sub-district of Andijan city, Andijan region.  This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the information received by the regional emergency department, 12 fire-rescue crews and 3 trucks arrived at the place of the fire at 21:18 p.m., and the fire was contained at 21:40 p.m. then eliminated at 10:25 p.m.

As a result of the fire, the roof of the apartment building burned and damaged an area of about 400 square meters.

No one was injured or killed as a result of the accident.

The cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are currently being determined.

According to the press service of the Andijan regional government, the Andijan regional governor was informed that the fire was completely extinguished.  The head of the region took control of the situation.

According to the instructions of the governor of the region, Shuhratbek Abdurahmanov, a construction staff was established at the scene.  He promised that from 21 November, the construction and repair work will begin in the apartment buildings of the 3rd sub-district in Andijan city where the fire occurred, and residents will be able to return to their homes in a week.

At night, the work of eliminating the complications of the fire and waste removal began.  The repair work started at 07:00 a.m. in the morning.
