Truck driver crashes into electric pole after falling asleep in Andijan

In Andijan region, a ZIL truck driver crashed into an electric pole in the middle of the road after falling asleep at the wheel, the regional Traffic Safety Department reported.
According to the information, on November 3 at around 22:15, a 1963-born driver, K.M., was operating his ZIL-130 cargo truck on Oltinkul Street in the Madaniyat neighborhood of Andijan city when he fell asleep and collided with a roadside iron electric pole.
As a result of the accident, the driver sustained minor injuries and sought medical attention at Andijan City Hospital.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway by the Andijan City Traffic Safety Department.
Previously, in Samarkand region, a driver of a Cobalt vehicle fell asleep while driving and collided with a bus.
