In Andijan’s Buloqboshi district, the Southern Fergana Canal sustained damage to one of its embankments, leading to flooding in local streets, according to the regional Emergency Management Department.
Authorities confirmed that as soon as reports of water leakage were received, the Norin-Qoradaryo Irrigation Systems Department acted swiftly to completely halt the water flow to prevent further flooding.
Currently, the regional emergency department leadership has deployed necessary forces and resources to mitigate the situation and address the damage.
