Fake law enforcement officers detained in Andijan

Individuals who posed as law enforcement officers and deceived a citizen have been detained in Andijan region, according to the State Security Service.
It was reported that three individuals born in 1995, 1998, and 2002, residents of Andijan city and Oltinko‘l district, forcibly placed a citizen born in 2004—who was engaged in crypto-asset activities and lived in Andijan district—into a vehicle. They introduced themselves as law enforcement officers.
The members of the criminal group then extorted the victim and unlawfully seized cryptocurrency worth 100,000 US dollars. In return, they handed him 160,000 counterfeit US dollars.
During an оператив operation, the fake officers were apprehended and their illegal activities were stopped.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 165, Part 3, Clause “a” (Extortion) and Article 176, Part 3, Clause “a” (Manufacture or circulation of counterfeit money, excise stamps, or securities) of the Criminal Code.
Earlier, it was reported that an individual who packaged and sold narcotic substances from his home in Tashkent had been detained.
