About a thousand people were left without electricity in Andijan

One of the transformers in Buloqboshi district of Andijan region caught fire.  This was reported by the information service of the regional emergency department.

It is noted that yesterday, August 16, at 9:49 p.m., a fire broke out in a transformer located in “Shokhguzar” neighborhood, Buloqbashi District, Andijan Region.  The fire was caused by oil burning inside the transformer.

1 fire-rescue crew arrived at the fire at 9:54 p.m., after the transformer was disconnected from the general network by the district electric company employees, it was surrounded at 9:58 p.m. and extinguished at 10:10 p.m.

“The cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are being determined.  There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident,” the report said.

According to the Ministry of Energy, as a result of the fire of the transformer, about a thousand consumers in this area were cut off from the electricity supply.  They were fully connected to the network at 23:45 through another transformer in the substation.

We remind you that on August 13 of this year, a fire broke out in a tea house under construction in Kokdala district of Kashkadarya region.  As a result, 260 square meters of the tea house burned down.
