474344 officials in the Andijan region have been fined, as reported by the Business Ombudsman.
It was noted that during the analysis of the timely review of business-related appeals by the Office of the Representative for the Protection of the Rights and Legal Interests of Business Entities, some officials were found to have violated the law.
According to Cabinet of Ministers Decision No. 434, the district commission responsible for allocating subsidies for livestock products must issue a conclusion through the electronic platform within 5 working days.
However, 9 deputy regional governors for agriculture and water management, 11 district agro-inspection department heads, 16 veterinary and animal husbandry department heads, and 8 district finance department heads failed to meet the deadline for addressing entrepreneurs' appeals.
For instance, the deputy governor of Asaka district for agriculture and water management took from October 31, 2023, until January 19, 2024, to process a subsidy application from "Zumrad" LLC (name changed).
Due to such violations by these 44 officials in the Andijan region, the entrepreneurs' appeals were not reviewed on time.
As a result, under Article 43 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the responsible officials were held administratively accountable for their legal violations.
It is worth noting that earlier in the Jizzakh region, 55 assistant governors were punished for failing to address business appeals on time.
