Man sentenced for trying to have sex with 13-year-old girl in Andijan

A 37-year-old man in Andijan region offered his neighbor's 13-year-old daughter sex for money, while his wife acted as an intermediary. This was reported by the "Don't keep silence" project.

It is noted that the case was heard in court in November 2024. According to the defendant's testimony, B.O., born in 1987, could not satisfy his intimate needs with his wife and told him that his neighbor would bring M., born in 2011. However, according to him, he fell asleep and did not remember what happened next.

The minor M. told the court that her neighbor brought her to her house that day and told her to have sex with her husband. The woman also said that the teenager would be blindfolded so that she "would not see anything and would not feel pain," and offered 50 thousand sums for this. When the girl refused, a man intervened in the conversation and said that if she agreed, he would pay her 100 thousand sums. The girl got scared and ran away.

The mother of the minor girl told the court that her daughters M. and R. called her and said that M. had been taken to her house by a neighbor man to satisfy his sexual needs. She added that there was no physical injury or violence, but she asked for the complaint to be satisfied. In her opinion, the actions of the man and his wife may contain signs of a crime. Therefore, the mother asked to cancel the decision of the court of first instance and send the case materials to the prosecutor's office.

The court of first instance found that the actions of B.O. and his wife were correctly qualified under Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility as “Sexual misconduct”. The man was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention, and his wife was fined 750,000 sums in favor of the state.

The Court of Appeal left the decision on administrative liability unchanged and did not agree with the application on the need to initiate a criminal case.

It should be recalled that earlier in the Samarkand region, an eighth-grade student was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a group of individuals.
