Driver falls asleep in Andijan, causes road accident (video)

A driver in the Altinkul district of Andijan region fell asleep and collided with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. This was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.

The incident occurred yesterday, October 23, at approximately 1:15 p.m. on the 132nd kilometer of the D-105 "Fergana Ring Road," which passes through the "Oqtepa" neighborhood in the Altinkul district of Andijan region. The driver, V. M., born in 1990, fell asleep while driving a Nexia-3 vehicle. Consequently, he veered into the opposite lane and collided with a Nexia traveling in the opposite direction.

As a result of the accident, one passenger in the Nexia-3 sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized at the district hospital. Currently, the road safety group staff of the Altinkul District Internal Affairs Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.

It is worth noting that previously, a 29-year-old man in Tashkent hit and ran from a 61-year-old man.
