Ulugbek Juraev to oversee construction and environment as deputy governor

Ulugbek Shukhratjon ugli Juraev has been appointed Acting Deputy Governor of Andijan Region for Construction, Barrier-Free Environment, Communications, Utilities, Ecology, and Greening. The regional government’s press service announced his appointment.  

Before assuming this role, Juraev served as the head of the Andijan Regional Government Secretariat for the same sectors.  

Juraev was born in Andijan district in 1990. He graduated from Andijan Agricultural Institute and began his career in 2015 as an economic affairs manager in the Andijan city finance department.  

From 2016 to 2020, he worked as Deputy Head of the Budget Department of the Finance Department of the Andijan District Khokimiyat. In 2022-2023, he served as Head of the Andijan Regional Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Uzbekistan, later heading the Andijan Regional Territorial Department of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.  

It is worth noting that Ulugbek Odashevich Rakhimov was previously appointed Deputy Governor of Andijan Region for Agriculture and Water Management, concurrently serving as Acting Head of the Regional Agricultural Department.
