3674Following reports that multi-story buildings were set to be constructed in Anhor and Navruz parks, activists began collecting signatures to oppose the alleged development. The controversy arose after a visualization of a future project, allegedly belonging to Golden House, appeared online. However, the developer has officially denied these claims.
According to Orient Group Management, the parent company of Golden House, neither they nor any other affiliated companies plan to implement the reported project or construct buildings in these parks.
“The visualization circulating online was taken from an internal presentation created by a former Golden House employee who left the company in 2024,” the company clarified. “Many project proposals are reviewed internally, but not all are approved.”
While Orient Group Management does intend to transfer ownership of the Anhor shopping center, located within Anhor Park, to a third-party company, the only planned construction will be limited to the shopping center’s territory.
“We are surprised by the misinformation regarding Golden House,” said CEO Vladimir Kalina. “We do not know who shared the internal presentation online, causing concern among Tashkent residents. Unfortunately, none of the media outlets or bloggers covering this issue contacted us for an official explanation.”
Kalina also emphasized that Golden House is focused on projects in other parts of Tashkent and has no plans for Anhor or Navruz parks.
“I will repeat this clearly: we have absolutely no plans for these parks, especially their green spaces,” he stated.
