In Surkhandarya, authorities found a father who had been evading alimony payments to his children for two years hiding in the basement of his residence. Farrukh Tashpolatov, the spokesperson for the Enforcement Bureau, disclosed this information to QALAMPIR.UZ.

In the Angor district of Surkhandarya region, a resident, following her divorce in January 2019, was obligated by a court order to provide alimony for her three underage children. However, the father has persistently refused to fulfill this financial obligation.

Upon visiting the debtor's home, the state bailiff from the Angor district branch of the Enforcement Bureau briefed the debtor's relatives about the enforcement proceedings. The homeowner, fearing the loss of his cattle during the seizure process, revealed that the debtor was hiding in the basement.

The case of the debtor's father was heard in the Angor district court for criminal matters, resulting in a 15-day administrative imprisonment due to his outstanding alimony debt of over 51 million soums.

It's worth mentioning that previously, another individual from Namangan, who had been eluding alimony payments, was apprehended in the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region.
