Education credit is allocated for training courses in the field of ICT

In October this year, educational credits for young people to study in the field of information technology will begin in Uzbekistan.  This is defined in the decision of the president of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to expand opportunities for acquiring modern knowledge and skills”.

In accordance with the decision, from 1 October 2022, a system will be established for the allocation of education credits for the training of young people in the field of information technology at refresher courses of non-governmental educational organizations.  In this case the educational credits are allocated:

• at the basic rate of Central Bank (15 percent);

• Up to 65 times basic calculation amount for a period of 4 years with a grace period of 1 year;

• Bail and surety are not required for children from families registered in the “Unified Register of Social Protection” for obtaining credit for education.

From 1 November 2022, young people who are studying at the educational courses of the resident organizations of the IT park or have successfully completed these educational courses in the last 6 months, will receive up to 25-fold BCA (up to 7.5 million soms) for the purchase of a computer.

At the same time, interest payments on consumer loans up to 1.5-fold of the basic rate of the Central Bank will be compensated from the funds of the State Fund for the Support of Youth Policy.
