Akmal Makhmudaliyev officially became the mayor of Syrdarya

Akmal Azimjonovich Makhmudaliyev, who has been performing the duties of the governor, was appointed to the position of governor of Syrdarya region.  It was announced today, 7 April, at the session of the Council of People’s Deputies of the Syrdarya Region chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The head of state recommended Akmal Azimjonovich Makhmudaliyev, who is acting as governor, for the position of governor of Syrdarya region.

After the candidate presented his plans for the socio-economic development of the region, the issue of appointing the governor of the region was put to a vote.

According to the voting results, Akmal Mahmudaliyev was confirmed as the governor of the region.

During the meeting, the prospects of further development of the region were discussed, the plans of district governors were heard.

It is worth mentioning that Akmal Makhmudaliyev has been working as acting governor of Sirdarya region since 2022.
