On March 13, Uzbek chess players Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindorov competed in the qualifying round of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour but failed to advance.

The next stage of the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour, played under Fischer Random Chess rules, will take place in Paris from April 7 to 15. The tournament will feature 12 of the world's top chess players, with 11 participants already confirmed. The final competitor will be determined today, March 14, through a knockout tournament.

A total of 16 international grandmasters competed on March 13 for the last remaining spot. However, both Uzbek grandmasters, Abdusattorov and Sindorov, were eliminated in the first round of qualifying. Abdusattorov lost to Indian player Pranesh M, the winner of the first round, while Sindorov was defeated by American grandmaster Leinier Dominguez in the round of 16.

For reference, Pranesh was later eliminated in the quarterfinals by fellow Indian Vidit Gujrathi, while Dominguez exited the competition after losing to Iranian grandmaster Amin Tabatabaei.
