Abdusattorov maintains undefeated streak in Prestigious Chess Tournament

4956The traditional “Tata Steel Chess 2025” tournament continues in the Netherlands, where Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov remains undefeated with a total of 7 points.
Uzbekistan is represented by two chess players in the tournament. In the 10th round on January 29, Abdusattorov, competing in the “Masters” group, played with the white pieces and secured a crucial victory over Serbian grandmaster Aleksej Sarana. With this win, Abdusattorov climbed to 2nd place in the tournament standings.
Indian grandmaster Gukesh Dommaraju currently leads the tournament with 7.5 points. The reigning world champion, playing with black, defeated Dutch player Max Warmerdam to take sole possession of the top spot. Meanwhile, another Indian grandmaster, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, secured a significant win against Slovenian Vladimir Fedoseev, placing him third with 6.5 points.
The tournament, one of the most prestigious events in the chess world, is being played over 13 rounds.
