Abdulaziz Komilov visits Croatia to strengthen bilateral relations

A delegation led by Abdulaziz Komilov, the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan on foreign policy matters, visited Croatia from October 22 to 24, as reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

The visit focused on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing the political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Croatia. Among the key events was a meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, where discussions covered the expansion of cooperation in trade, economic development, transport and infrastructure, energy, and labor migration.

"Prime Minister Plenković commended President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's initiatives to deepen bilateral relations and expressed his willingness to foster further cooperation," the report stated.

During the visit, an official invitation was extended for the Croatian Prime Minister to visit Uzbekistan in 2025

The delegation also held meetings with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport, and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, along with officials from the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

Additionally, on October 23, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Croatia, Oybek Shahavdinov, presented his credentials to Mirta Elents Jupan, head of the protocol department of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
