Speculation is swirling around the future of Abbosbek Fayzullaev, the talented player of Uzbekistan’s national team and CSKA Moscow. Together with the Telegram channel Samvel Karlenovich, QALAMPIR.UZ examined the situation surrounding the Uzbek footballer.

First, Fayzullayev’s agent, German Tkachenko, explained that the reason a move to Benfica didn’t happen is that Portugal currently does not engage in football dealings with Russia.
So, can CSKA still sell players to Europe for a good price?
“It’s very difficult. There are undeniable challenges. But it’s still possible to strike a deal. We don’t rule out the possibility that Abbos might play in a ‘bridge league’ before heading to Europe,” said Tkachenko.
Are there still connections with top clubs like Bayern Munich?
“There’s a lot of interest, but that doesn’t mean negotiations are taking place. I won’t name clubs—you know why. But what about the leagues? The offers are only coming from top-tier leagues. Abbos is not a cheap player, and his level demands a serious approach to the next step,” the agent continued.
These comments suggest that both CSKA and Fayzullaev’s representatives are aiming to sell him for a good price, even if that means finding creative ways around geopolitical complications.
Which country could serve as a "bridge" to Europe?

Right now, the Turkish league appears to be a favorable route into European football. Turkish clubs regularly compete in Europe’s most prestigious tournaments. Galatasaray, which is reportedly monitoring Fayzullaev, competes in both the Champions League and Europa League nearly every season. Scouts typically follow players from major clubs in each country. Moving from Galatasaray to an even bigger European club is often easier. Under Okan Buruk, the team is currently leading the Turkish Super Lig with 74 points. If they maintain their lead, they’ll qualify for the Champions League next season.

A transfer to Benfica wouldn’t be a bad option either. The Lisbon club, much like Galatasaray, consistently finishes at the top of its national league and plays in European competitions every year. Benfica could serve as a springboard for Fayzullaev’s further development.

Monaco is another club that regularly competes for top positions in France and appears in European tournaments every season. This club could also serve as a launchpad for Fayzullaev, just as Abdukodir Khusanov’s performances at Lens have attracted attention from Manchester City.

A move to Bayern Munich seems ideal—but is it realistic? The real question is whether Fayzullaev could earn significant playing time in such a high-profile team. Bayern’s current squad features globally recognized players in his position. On the left wing, where Fayzullaev typically plays, there are Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman, and Serge Gnabry. On the right wing, Michael Olise has also joined. This means playing opportunities for the Uzbek star could be limited. Still, this doesn’t mean Fayzullaev shouldn’t test himself at a top club.
Former Uzbekistan national team player Akmal Shorahmedov also shared his thoughts with QALAMPIR.UZ on Fayzullaev’s future.
“A friend of mine who works in Germany recently mentioned that Bayern officials discussed Fayzullaev’s transfer during a meeting. Right now, they’re observing Fayzullaev even more closely than Khusanov because he’s an attacking and dynamic player. I think CSKA will sell him soon as his market value rises. I believe Abbos will continue his career in the Bundesliga by September,” said Shorahmedov.
We hope CSKA and Fayzullayev’s agents make a decision that is ultimately in the best interest of the player.
