Pat English, the lawyer for Uzbek professional boxer Murodjon Ahmadaliev, has raised concerns about discussions with Japanese absolute champion Naoya Inoue, claiming that Inoue is avoiding a mandatory defense fight and violating Ahmadaliev's rights. This information was reported by the press service of the Professional Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.

"We oppose the notion of paid promotions, particularly with Sam Goodman being positioned as Inoue's next opponent. Murodjon Ahmadaliev has been a mandatory contender for the WBA championship belt for an extended period. According to regulations, Naoya's next fight should be against the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt. We have demanded that the WBA organize a mandatory defense fight. While we do not intend to threaten, we will pursue legal action if Mr. Inoue attempts to evade the mandatory defense required by the WBA," stated Pat English.

The lawyer emphasized that he would not allow Ahmadaliev's rights to be compromised.

“If Mr. Inoue wishes to vacate the WBA title, we will not prevent him from fighting anyone other than Ahmadaliev. However, we oppose the current situation, where someone or an organization is infringing upon Mr. Ahmadaliev's rights," English added.

For reference, the 31-year-old Inoue's next fight is scheduled for December in Japan against Austrian Sam Goodman, while Ahmadaliev does not have a fight planned at this time.

It's worth noting that in early October, Ahmadaliev sent a message to Inoue, stating his intention to knock him out.
