Holiday fireworks will be organized on 9 May 

Festive fireworks dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor will be held in Tashkent on 9 May at 21:00.  This is reported by the chairman of the Information Service under the Defense Ministry Otabek Yuldashev at a briefing in the Information and Mass Communications Agency (AOKA).

On the occasion of the holiday, the Ministry of Defense held an international practical conference in the participation of the representatives of more than 30 prestigious organizations, scientists on the topic «Contribution of Uzbekistan people to the victory in the Second World War» in the Museum of Glory.

Also, it was stated that initial copies of the book "Soldiers' Letters", which contains letters from the war zones, and “Patriots” with names of patriots in the form of districts and in alphabetical order have been prepared.  The books have been scheduled to be published by 10 May.

It should be recalled that in accordance with the decision of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On the incentives to the participants of the World War II » of April 29, a one-time cash prize of 15,000, 000 (fifteen million) som is being allocated to each of them.
