Currently, 60,000 teachers in Uzbekistan receive 8–12 million UZS in monthly salaries. This announcement was made on May 15 during a videoconference led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, where education system reforms and future priorities were discussed.

"The undeniable truth in the world is that any country's progress depends on a healthy and educated generation," said the President. "For the New Uzbekistan, we must ensure that our youth are healthy, knowledgeable, deep-thinking, and patriotic by creating the necessary conditions."

During the meeting, it was noted that over the last seven years, funding for preschool and school education has increased sevenfold, reaching 60 trillion UZS in 2025. Schools have gained nearly one million additional student slots, while preschools added 1.5 million new places, with preschool enrollment tripling to 78%.

To enhance teacher qualifications, more than 10 types of salary bonuses were introduced based on factors such as language proficiency, new assessment systems, and subject competitions. As a result, 60,000 teachers currently earn between 8–12 million UZS per month.

Additionally, preschool teachers’ salaries have increased by 65%, equaling the wages of school teachers. Starting the new academic year, school principals, vice principals, and preschool directors will see their salaries rise to 7–10 million UZS.
