5075A total of 1 billion 576 million 675 thousand soms was wasted in Uzbekistan during 9 months of 2022 related to 15 cases of road repair.
Dilshod Okhunjonov, the head of "Uzyolinspeksiya" department, gave a report about this at a briefing held at information and mass communication agency.
He said that a request was made to the customers to remove the funds spent on poorly executed construction and assembly works from the report, and it was determined that the construction works would be re-executed at their own expense.
In addition, an administrative report was issued in accordance with Article 147, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with 2 cases," says Dilshod Okhunjonov.
Also, the number of appeals received by the population to the inspection of the quality control of road construction works under the Ministry of Transport about poor quality roads has increased by 45% compared to last year.
A total of 474 appeals were received by individuals and legal entities between January-September of this year. This indicator has increased by 45% compared to the same period of 2021. 133 of the complaints received were from road users, each of them was considered by regional state inspectors with the participation of representatives of interested parties, and as a result, certain measures were taken," said Dilshod Okhunjonov.
He said that 80 instructions were given to eliminate the shortcomings identified with 61 appeals. However, in connection with 5 cases that did not meet the requirements of the instruction on time, an administrative report on the application of appropriate measures to the officials was formalized and sent to the judicial authorities.
It was also mentioned that according to 70 appeals, the quality indicators of the road objects will be determined and suggestions will be made to the governors, the organization that maintains the balance of the highway, and the heads of the relevant departments regarding the inclusion of these objects in the current repair program.
