In 2022, 8,800 people from Uzbekistan moved abroad for permanent residence. This was reported by the Statistics Agency.
It is noted that 4,100 men and 4,700 women migrated abroad last year.
This indicator has significantly decreased in the last 5 years. In particular:
in 2018 - 17.6 thousand;
in 2019 - 13.2 thousand;
in 2020 - 13.6 thousand;
In 2021, 20,100 people went abroad.
The main part of those who moved from Uzbekistan to foreign countries is Kazakhstan (79.5%), Russia (16.4%), Kyrgyzstan (0.7%), Tajikistan (0.5%), Turkmenistan (0 .3 %), and other countries (2.6 %).
Also, in 2022, 2,300 people immigrated to Uzbekistan from abroad, which is a significant decrease compared to the last 5 years. For example, in 2018, 2.9 thousand, 2.5 thousand in 2019, 1.1 thousand in 2020, and 1.9 thousand people in 2021 came to Uzbekistan for permanent residence.
