20 drug couriers were arrested

20 persons involved in drug trafficking through one of the social networks were arrested.  This was reported by the State Security Service.

It is said that those arrested were involved in the sale of drugs through a special Telegram channel opened in 2020.  As a result of the rapid search activities that began in October 2022, the State Security Service caught 3 people who initially beat up a citizen living in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city in a public place.

It was found that the perpetrators and the injured citizen were actually members of a channel involved in the sale of narcotics on one of the social networks.  That is, instead of delivering the narcotic to the customers, which was hidden in a specified place, according to the instructions of the channel manager, the victim arbitrarily appropriated it.  The channel manager who found out about this sent 3 people to punish him.

Until now, many smugglers who cheated the owner and took drugs were brutally beaten by 17 persons engaged in punishment, and these processes were filmed and placed on the channel as a report on the completion of the task.  The channel manager paid them 300-500 USD for each assignment.

“These persons have been involved in the investigation process within the framework of the criminal cases initiated in connection with these cases,” the report says.
