A girl who infected more than 20 men with AIDS was imprisoned for only three years

A girl who deliberately infected more than twenty men with AIDS in the Gijduvan district of Bukhara province was sentenced to three years imprisonment.  This was reported by the Chairman of the Gijduvan District Court for Criminal Cases.

It is noted that M.R., a citizen born in 2002 in the Gijduvan district.  When she was studying at school, she had a active social-life.

After graduating from the 11th grade, she quarreled with family members which resulted in a family division.  Following this M.R. left her home and got a job at a nightclub in the district center.

For the past two years, her family has taken no action to stop and change her behavior.

During the investigation, the girl engaged in prostitution in her spare time from work in a nightclub. She once complained about her health and went to the district hospital. "During the medical procedures in the hospital, it was discovered that the girl had AIDS," said a representative of the court.

According to the situation, M.R. was immediately registered by the doctors and explained her obligations.  She was warned that if she infected others, she would be prosecuted under the relevant article of the Criminal Code.

However, the girl did not leave the path she chose.  She had sex with men for a pittance and hid her illness from her partners.  During the investigation with M.R. it became known that more than twenty men were intentionally infected with AIDS.  During the investigation, the culprit admitted that she intentionally spread the disease to others to earn money.

M.R., was charged under Article 113, paragraph 4, of the Criminal Code (Venereal diseases or HIV/AIDS) and was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
