The Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development has approved new single payment tariffs for solid and liquid household waste collection in Tashkent and Surkhandarya regions.

According to the updated rates, in certain areas of the Tashkent region, individuals will now pay 7,840 sums per cubic meter (including VAT), while legal entities will be charged 82,880 sums per cubic meter.

Meanwhile, in all cities and districts of the Surkhandarya region, the new rates have been set at 7,000 sums per cubic meter (excluding VAT) for individuals and 122,219 sums per cubic meter (excluding VAT) for legal entities.

For comparison, in April last year, waste collection fees in 15 cities and districts of Surkhandarya stood at 4,500 sums per person per month and 70,000 sums per cubic meter (excluding VAT) for businesses. Similarly, in November 2023, rates in 22 cities and districts of the Tashkent region were set at 4,400 sums per person per month and 61,000 sums per cubic meter (68,320 sums including VAT) for legal entities.

The increase in tariffs reflects ongoing efforts to improve waste management services in these regions.
