Two people who caused the death of a 14-year-old boy were arrested - the Prosecutor General's Office

Two people who allegedly caused the death of a 14-year-old boy who was taken away by an internal affairs officer in Fergana were arrested.  This was reported by Hayat Shamsutdinov, Press Secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

"The news that a 14-year-old minor in Fergana died on 17 October this year in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Fergana region is causing wide discussions.

"We remind you that a criminal case has been initiated by Article 104, Part 3, Clause "d" of the Criminal Code, and investigations are being carried out," said the spokesman of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to him, during the investigation, it became known that 2 minors beat the deceased R. Abdusattarov and inflicted injuries that led to his death.

"This situation has been proven by witness statements and other evidence," Shamsutdinov says with confidence.

Therefore, these 2 minors were arrested as part of the criminal case.

In addition, a service inspection was ordered against internal affairs officers.

The Prosecutor General's Office has established control over the handling and investigation of this criminal case.

Earlier, the Prosecutor's Office of Fergana region also reacted to the situation.  Born in 2007, minor R.A., on 16 October this year, he was caught by the officers of the Internal Affairs Department when he was walking without the supervision of his parents in the "Ansar" shopping complex located in the village of Yangigurgan, Buvayda district, and was trying to steal in this complex. mAccording to today's decision of the head of the department, the Public Security Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department located in the city of Ko'kan was placed in the Crime Prevention Department.

On 17 October, minor R.A.'s health worsened and he fainted.  City emergency medical personnel were called, and despite providing medical assistance, he died while being taken to the hospital.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic examination, the cause of the deceased's death was "a closed head injury, hemorrhage under the dura mater, and brain tissue injury."

In connection with this situation, on 18 October, the Koqan City Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case under Article 104, Part 3, Clause "d" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (inflicting serious bodily injury that caused the death of the victim). 

During the investigation, charges were announced against two persons directly involved in the crime, and an "imprisonment" precautionary measure was used.  Also, in connection with the situation, a service check was appointed against the employees of the specialized boarding school for minors of the Criminal Security Service of the Internal Affairs Department.
